In June, 1981, the Virgin Mary began appearing to six young teenagers in a remote mountain village in former Yugoslavia, now Bosnia Herzegovina. The now famous apparition site is known by the village name - Medjugorje. The apparitions have continued for what is now in 2014 - 33 years.
Millions of pilgrims have traveled to Medjugorje for a variety of reasons from curiosity to seeking a spiritual or physical healing. Many miracles have reportedly taken place there. Our Lady's basic message to the world is a message of peace, teaching the world to come back to God and to daily prayer. Our Lady gives us five stones by which to live: Prayer, Fasting, Daily reading of the Bible, Confession, Eucharist.
Wayne Weible, a journalist by trade, first heard about this apparition in 1986. At the time he owned several newspapers, was a Lutheran and did not have a strong faith. After traveling to Medjugorje and experiencing its graces, he knew in his heart these apparitions were real and as such God was real. Over the past 28 yeas, Wayne has made the spreading of these message his life's work. Wayne has made 115 trips to Medjugorje, traveled to almost every region and country in the world speaking on the apparitions and has written nine books on the subject.
Each year Wayne makes three pilgrimages to Medjugorje taking many pilgrims with him. He continues to write a monthly newsletter keeping readers up-to-date on the events happening in Medjugorje.
